Before it even comes to needle and thread, all of the creations for each customer are completely designed by me. Every work is based on the bride’s individual wishes, her color and figure type, but also her personal character. So I can bring a perfect dress to life that has a very special touch and gives expression to her personality.
I want to help make dreams come true and bring them into an aesthetic form that emphasizes the beauty of every wearer. Regardless of whether it’s an elven robe or a classic gown: The fantastic note is always a focus of my style. It is very important to me that not only the dress itself is tailor-made, but that the look in particular is something very special. Every bride should find herself in my work and feel completely comfortable on her big day!
Fantasy has no limits.
Every artist certainly has his own way of tackling his creative process. At the beginning, I collect all the points that are important to the bride: Should the dress be practical or opulent? What details or ideas does she like? Which colors, shapes or materials suit her? Is there a budget limit? I use this to create a written mind map and surround myself with a room that is as neutral as possible. I do not use moodboards or inspiration pictures, but work with my own set of ideas, which is based in particular on historical fashion.
Then I start sketching and give my ideas a silhouette. Not everyone makes it to the final version, because I form the best possible overall picture from all of them. The development of the design is therefore always a process in which ideas are shaped but also rejected.
Afterrwards the material search begins, in which I gather all the fabrics and ingredients for the design. This can sometimes take a while because there is simply no source from which to get all the ingredients. I drive around and go to shops, visit local markets and browse the internet. When I have all the samples together and am satisfied with the selection, I present the customer various options.
I summarize the result in a colored fashion illustration. I try to reproduce the proportions of the customer well and the design as realistically as possible. Therefore, I always need photos of every customer so that I can coordinate everything exactly.
I also work on colors and material suggestions at this point so that you the bride can already well imagine the end result. If necessary, fabric samples can be sent so that she can also match the groom’s outfit or decoration. But it is also possible to create a harmonizing set for the wedding couple!
A sketch can look like this:
The draft is discussed and details clarified by email or with an appointment in the studio. Discussing the design can lead to ideas being rejected and revised again. At the end of the process, we definitely have a finished design that leaves nothing to be desired!
Then just write me an email. I look forward to your request!
